New Home for the Luković Family from Sjenica - Srbi za Srbe

In partnership with the humanitarian organization "Srbi za Srbe", we recently had the opportunity to take part in an extremely important project. For the Luković family from the village of Zahumsko near Sjenica, we built a new prefabricated house so they could finally have adequate living conditions.

Single father Negomir has for years cared alone for his children, twelve-year-old Đorđe and eleven-year-old Anastasija. Until now, together with their ailing grandmother, they had lived in a single room of just 10 square meters, without basic amenities or a bathroom. Thanks to a great response from donors, the "Srbi za Srbe" organization quickly secured the funds, allowing us to begin construction without delay.

Our task was to build a safe and warm home. The house was successfully raised and furnished with basic furniture and appliances. During a visit to the new house, father Negomir noted that the space was exactly what they needed, in an excellent location, and that he hopes the water and electricity connections will be resolved quickly so they can move in.

Although quiet and reserved because of everything they have been through, Đorđe and Anastasija made no secret of how much they like their new house. The entire project is expected to be fully completed by spring.

We are glad that, as the contractor, we were able to contribute to this effort, and that growing up in an inadequate room will soon be nothing but a memory for these children.
